There’s one big misconception: that it’s not a serious career.

While studying Communication, Anna worked in hospitality. That part-time job turned out to be a perfect fit—she never wanted to do anything else. Her passion for food and drink grew into opening her own restaurant in Amsterdam—from scratch. She designed everything herself, from the interior to the menu.

"In hospitality, you learn skills for life—no other job comes close."

She built her business with help from friends and created a relaxed spot where the warmth of Southern Europe comes alive. According to Anna, no two days are the same in hospitality, and you develop skills that come in handy everywhere. Anna says, “Everyone should spend some time working in hospitality—you gain incredibly valuable people skills.”
